We reconnected over dinner; it was fascinating to hear how others view American politics, trying to reconcile the difference between our governmental dysfunction and the idea of the USA as the world’s greatest democracy. They said it’s confusing. We said, welcome to our world.
Of course, the most shocking event of the evening came when Ian got his pizza and ATE IT WITH A FORK AND KNIFE!! Kevin’s from New Jersey and did a great Jon Stewart impression on the correct way to fold and eat a slice. Canadians; what are you gonna’ do.
